The two have been cast in a web-drama, “Office Romance Recipe”. The show is a mini-promotional project for Realfood. It tells the story of three friends, Tatang (Ahn HyoSeop), Rani (Kim SeJeong) and Choco (Chicco Jerikho) who come together to open a restaurant. Even though we could not get “Business Proposal” season 2, perhaps this mini-series can fill in the spot. With the couple’s perfect chemistry and hilarious moments, it could never get better. Here is why we love Ahn HyoSeop and Kim SeJeong’s transition from “Business Proposal " to “Office Romance Recipe.” The article contains spoilers.
1. Different Characters But With The Same Enchanting Chemistry
“Office Romance Recipe” introduces Ahn HyoSeop as Tatang and Kim SeJeong as Rani. Though the two are quite different from their characters in “Business Proposal”, we cannot miss their cute chemistry that persisted in both the dramas. In “Business Proposal”, Ahn HyoSeop played the role of Kang TaeMo, a sexy and charismatic CEO, whilst Tatang is Rani’s senior in “Office Romance Recipe”. Kang TaeMo was straight forward and bold, like how he proposed Shin HaRi instantly after meeting her and even confessed that she picked his interest. Whilst we see that Tatang is quite shy. He certainly has feelings for his coworker and would secretly stare at her. Yet, he is still hiding his feelings. Kim SeJeong’s character is as adorable as Shin HaRi. Rani is aware of Tatang’s stares and feelings. She is interested in him too, but we don’t know how serious her feelings are. She approaches Tatang flirtatiously despite being coworkers, which is the opposite of HaRi. HaRi’s main concern was hiding her identity as an office worker at TaeMo’s company. Yet, their cute stares and soft conversations have the same impact. Even though the clips are short, their chemistry still peaks through the screens and tingles in our chests.
2. The Transitions From The Slipper Accident To The Button Accident
“Office Romance Recipe” did not miss out on comic interactions in the series. “Business Proposal”, being a romance comedy itself, presented the viewers with various hilarious moments. One of the most iconic ones is the ‘slipper accident’. Whilst in a hurry, Shin HaRi bumps into someone and falls. But that is not it. As she fell, one of her slippers flew in the air and landed directly on Kang TaeMo’s handsome face. Similarly, in “Office Romance Recipe”, Rani approaches Tatang’s desk. She clenches her waist and stands in a way to make her figure seem more appealing. Unfortunately, her attempt goes astray when her skirt’s button betrays her. Even though Tatang saw the mishap beforehand, he was still too late. The button again flew in the air and struck his eye. 3. “Office Romance Recipe” Brings Back Jealous Ahn HyoSeop
Everyone can easily recall the infamous jealousy scene in “Business Proposal”. Kang TaeMo’s iconic eye twitch went viral. And we still run for jealous Kang TaeMo. It was his jealousy that made him more aggressive and, soon, more sure about his feelings. Similarly, the entry of Chicco alerts Tatang and we expect to see many scenes showcasing his jealousy. Even in the first episode, Tatang is irked when Rani shakes Chicco’s hand. As much as we wished the series to be longer, the little clips of the two together still warms our hearts.
