The concept for 2021 MAMA is MAKE SOME NOISE, embodying the message that everyone can come together, respect each other’s values without prejudice regardless of country, race, and generation through the power of music and K-pop. The official teaser video provides a visual for this year’s concept: beams of light stretch out to create a big spiral visualizing voices of global fans and artists coming together to create one voice, united under K-pop. The teaser video includes the narration by MAMA’s first female host, Lee HyoRi.
The official website will have everything fans need to know about MAMA and will serve as the official voting platform for global K-pop fans. The website will be available in five different languages, including Korean, English and Japanese. Expanding its footprints across the globe, MAMA continues to make history as a pioneer in the K-pop industry. It was not only the first K-pop awards show to be hosted across the world, but also the first ever K-pop awards ceremony to be held in two or more regions in 2017(Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong) and 2018(Korea, Japan and Hong Kong). In 2019, MAMA was the first K-pop awards ceremony held in a dome stadium. ‘2021 MAMA’ will be broadcasted worldwide on December 11, 6PM (KST).
